You Must Be This Tall to Ride
I wonder what it takes
To ride the Tilt-o-Whirl from one inch below the line.
A new set of boots?
A fast fiver?
A diversion?
A boost so sly
That a fluff of puffy hair
Or solid boot heels
Could mean the difference between
Seeing the world
And not being quite good enough
Or are we meant to wait?
Why does it take years to realize
That the best view of the city
Is found at the top of a Ferris wheel, not the
Tilt-o-Whirl
And you can be any height for that one
